I am in the process of assembling the necessary parts to perform a rear axle swap (carrier to follow) and need to know what generation of vehicles will work for the swap. I have a 1991 XLT with 3.55's and am looking ot move down to 4.10's with a LSD and disc brakes (more stopping power wooohoo!!) and I need to know what model years of Exploder I should be pulling from. i.e. 1995 to 1997 or can I get an axle from a 1995 up to 2001. I know someone out there knows. Please Help.
Also, is it necessary to swap out the brake master cylinder and brake booster when doing this swap? Or recommended?
