Does anyone know how much gear oil you put into the rear axle to refill it?

Usually about 4-5 qts.

Thanks. I was not sure and the haynes just says to use the correct amount

So..should I just put 4 in and if it can hold 5 put 5 in?

the 1994 owners guide says 5.5 pints (:us: measure) and 4 ounces of friction modifier if equipped with the factory limited slip

keep filling it till it comes out of the fill hole... then toss the cap on.....

Well then. I have the axle out of the car, On two wheels and was just tipping it down. Filling from where it poured out at. There is a fill hole. Is there another method of filling it up?
