I have a 94 4x4 Ranger and my rear cylinders are leaking and the self adjuster accuating cable is broke. My question is do i have to replace the cylinder, put in a rebuild kit, or will replacing the cable solve my problem. Wheel cylinder appears to be working fine, I'm limited on money and any help would be greatly appreciated. I use my truck for work so I need to get back on the road as soon as I can, Thanks

Replacing the cable will not repair the leak but it should help the self adjusting system work. As to the leak, a rebuild kit should fix the leak unless there is enough corrosion or a score in the cylinder that can't be cleaned up with a little emery cloth. Wheel cylinders are not that expensive if you need to replace it.

I have a complete set of drum assemblies you might be interested in: link

Not sure what shipping would be to Denver, but it might be worth it for you.
