Hey Guys

I had my rear brake rattle fixed as per te TSB but little of 2k miles and its back. Is this something we have to live with on these trucks? I have a 2008 XLT and would like advice if I should bring it back again or just live with it.

Thanks

Joe

I'm not familar with the late Explorers, or this TSB. However, I'm assuming it's still under warranty? If so, you don't "have to live with" anything. If there is something wrong, MAKE them fix it. Obviously,if there is a TSB, then they (Ford) knows they screwed something up. They're counting on most people buying the "you'll just have to live with it, we don't consider it a problem" excuse.

Assuming you have less than 18,000 miles, give them another shot at resolving it, then you might want to start dropping "lemon law" references at the dealer. Remind them that it's now been in twice. They have 1 more shot to fix it. http://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/ocp/lembroc.pdf
