im looking to add 2 fog lights to the bumper of my 99 ex...i like the look i have now and dont really want the lights hanging down all the time and i dont want to mount the lights flush to the bumper...i was thinking of like a door hing install with a locking pin in the up position. so im thinking that i can have the lights in the back of my bumper so its not visible but able to swing them down...of anyone has done this before or saw them somewhere would be greatly appericated.

fog on a seperate switch from everything

Well one idea I thought of the other day (very intricate) was to have electric actuators bolted to the tow hitch that when you flip the switch to turn the lights on, the actuators lower the lights and when you shut the lights off, they retract.

Yea...weird $h!t like this is always going through my head.

oh if i could i soo would but im on a tight tight budget im looking for the simplest thing i can do/get short of using an actuall door hinge

Trust me I know, I wish I had the money and time for that.

What I see being the best option is finding a lights like this.

Having a light with that style mount will allow you to bolt the light to the bottom of the bumper and swing the light up and out of the way

Get a Mountaineer rear bumper with the reflectors. Take those out, put some lights in those holes...?

Just an idea. I have no idea of those are even holes, what is behind them, etc etc...

im not looking to go crazy with diff bumpers and everything and special lights im just looking for simple install

Still not sure what you want. White back up/fog type lights or red fog lights as European models have where the rear lights are brighter when the front fog lights are turned on.

im looking to mount fog lights on my rear bumper white ones...i dont want the look of them just hanging there i want to be able to like pull a pin and fold them back into the bumper and out of site

aren't rear facing white fog lights illegal? that's why we have red ones in Europe,

Si

Sounds like he is mounting white "fog" lights for hooking up trailers and such at night. Not for driving down the road with them on, which yes, that would be illegal here too.

I bought some small flat lights at advanced for $20ish.

Pics are on this ^ Just wired to the battery, ran a switch into the cab, and ran down to the wires. I now have a round hitch so I mounted them to the bottom of the bumper in kinda the same spot. You could also mount lights up to on the roof rack, or something else I though of was mounting them on a swivel behind the glass. Could be used towards the back or in the back.
