I have 97 Explorer XLT. I was wondering if anybody knows how to replace the plastic covering over the step on the rear bumper where the hitch is. It's not the plastic on the top of the bumper, but rather the bottom piece of plastic where the hitch hole is. The dealer says you just pry off the existing plastic panel and the new panel snaps right into its place. I'm afraid to attempt this b/c I don't want to screw anything up. If anyone knows anything that may help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The lower part is just held on with some plastic plug type things. Grab ahold of the bottem part and slowly start pulling it up. It's tough the first time, but don't be afraid to use some force the first time.
