I have a 98 Explorer XLT with rear discs . Wanted to replace a chewed up rotor. Can't figure out how to remove the caliper as there are no caliper mounting bolts. Alldata says to remove 4 bolts, behind the wheel Now the bolts are spinning around and not coming off. Local mecanic says he never heard of such a setup and says to keep looking for torx or caliper retaining bolts.
Can anyone help?

Thanks!

If you've cranked the two bolts loose, the caliper comes right off. The bolts may be sticking in the slide pins..... If the whole pin spins, the bolt won't loosen.
