I have a 2003 explorer 4x4 XLT w 117,000 miles. When I pull away from a stop and turn, I feel a vibration coming from the back. Is this my rear differential going bad ?
It probably is the clutch packs for the limited slip chattering. You can try a fluid change and adding friction modifier to see if it goes away. This is cheaper and easier than replacng the clutch packs and/or a complete rebuild.
