Rear differential

How many bearings are in the rear differential? opened it up today and found bearing parts and silver gear oil. What should I replace and what do I look for to make sure all is well? How do I flush the diff out and get all the particles out?
Is this a difficult job?

On a scale of 1 to 10, you are looking at a 9 or 10 with no experience. There are precision adjustments that have to be made. I would suggest getting a replacement at a salvage yard or taking it to a professional.

I must say that IMHO if you need to ask these questions than this job is probably over your head. If you know somebody that knows what they are doing and you want to learn, have them supervise
