Rear door panel pockets

The PIU, understandably, has rear door panels that do not have pockets. As someone pre-purchase, I can't really take one apart to verify, but the PIU door panels, from photos, sure look like a civilian door panel with a block out cover over the pocket. If I want rear door panel pockets, do I need to replace the whole door panel or just remove a block out cover?

I would recommend getting the whole door panel. I've replace mine and they are a way better look, especially with the black trim reused.
