Hi, my 2005 Explorer developed a rear end noise a few months ago that has me going NUTZ. All four bearings were replaced 30k miles ago when i first detected that the bearings were going bad. The noise is present even if I let off the gas. No wiggle on any of the tires. My tires are a bit cupped, so I rotated them but that didn’t help. Question: 1) Could cupped tires make growling noise at very low MPH (5-10)? 2) Is it possible that the rear diff bearing is on its way out? Thanks.

Rear diff has been replaced twice in my 2004 and it's acting up again (187K miles on my truck). Mine is usually the loudest when letting off the gas at speed like on the highway. Acceleration sounds more like a whine.
