This part is broken on both sides of my explorer, and I have no idea what its called. Any information would be helpful. It's the bar that connects from my rear axle to the frame, as seen in the pictures below.

Those would be the torque rods

Traction bar

Thank you! Any idea where I could get one? I'm not finding anyone selling a replacement online.

Go to the scrap yard. Looks like you live in the rust belt, might wanna call southern yards and ask if they'll ship.
I got a computer from a place in Tennessee and they shipped it to me. It's hard to find those :(

I know I was thinking junk yard, but like you said anything i find up here is probably gonna be rusted to hell. I was hoping to just buy a new one online, but have found nothing.

It's called anti-windup bar. I believe that these came only with the V8 engine. May be hard to find, but if memory serves, a few months ago there was a thread on this subject, and someone had a source for them. Try the search function.

They're to prevent axle wind up under high torque conditions.
Have you been getting axle hop on acceleration?

In all seriousness, you can remove them and be fine without them..
They only came on V8s, and V6s did not have them. You wouldn't feel much of a difference anyway.
