All ex's have the 8.8:)

Thanks 88vert! :D

No problem:) What gears do you have in the ex?

All are 8.8's...

88vert - I need some help... buying a '94 GT. Totally stock (3.27 gears I think - not sure though). I started questions in need for speed....

What do I do to this! I want to get to 300hp with a SC and don't mind doing this in stages. My understanding is the motor is 215hp stock. What are your thoughts? And how easy is it to swap out a cam?

Jon

Swapping out a cam sucks there is alot of tearing down involved you can do it while its in the car but it is easier to do with the motor out.If you changed the cam got aluminum heads and went to a 3.73 gear you would have real close to 300hp.Is it a stick or auto?

She be a stick ;)

Gears I can do - did them on the truck. It seems like the main cost there is in the heads - maybe 600-900 for a good set? Cam doesn't seem to be too much. How much would I expect to pay for intakes and so on?

J

Intakes for the 94 and 95 are a little more pricey becase of the elbow adapter on the intake I would say about 450 for a trick flow street heat intake,I would also move up to a 65mm throttle body while you are there:D
