rear heater noise

Rear heater /a/c is making a noise that sounds like a thumping sound. Seems worse with turning of temp dial from cold to hot. fan seems to work fine but no heat. Any ideas?

Rear blend motor stripped. Do a search on here. Lots of posts about it and how to change it. Motor should be around $50 and you'll need a couple hours to change it out, 3rd row seat has to come out. Not too bad just time consuming.
