Rear Liftgate Glass Strut Replacement

Does anyone have a link to share or a quick write-up on replacing the struts for the rear liftgate glass of a 2002 Explorer (the top half, not the whole liftgate)? Haven't really found anything to walk me though the process.

Should just be a ball socket connection on both sides. Just pop it off and snap on the new ones

They may have small clips that you can pry off with a small screwdriver

rockauto.com is usually pretty cheap for those, but then if that's all you buy at rockauto, the shipping will quickly make it not worth it. Find a few other things you might need and add those.

Or try the local autopart stores.

Matty427, it may be too late, but I just purchased a pair of the same lifts from NAPA for $11 each.
