I need to replace my struts on the vehicle. I have been shopping and I see them listed as just the struts or the whole assembly. Question is should I replsreplace the whole assembly or just struts? Is there any benefit to changing the whole thing out? I plan on doing this when I replace my upper ball joints

I recommend Monroe quick struts. It's a shock and spring all in one unit.

The OE springs have a tendency to snap. So it's best to replace the whole thing.

Depends on your budget, I replaced the shock absorber and re-used the coil spring. It's a lot of work honestly since the oem coils are thick and the spring compressor you can rent in auto parts barely fit the coil. Sometimes there's not much of a difference between a complete assembly and just the shock absorber itself, do the math.

btw it's a coil over not struts.

thanks for the suggestion guys
