Hi there,
After only a few months of no troubles, my lovely X is now leaking oil right where it would be if it was the rear main seal, however, it only has 180K kms, which is like 112K miles? Is this normal, or too soon?

I'm aware that it is something that one can live with for a time, which believe me is what i'll be doing, but is there any other place oil might be leaking from? ANd if it is the rear main seal, i know i have to drop the tranny, is there anything else i could do to improve performance? Like a shift kit, or a differernt torque converter or flywheel?

Thanks
Matt.

Sounds like the same miles when my rear main went. I waited for at least 4 months and then did a clutch rebuild since they were in there. Cost me right around 1000 bucks.

I have the 5-speed auto, so i can't do the clutch thing. I"m going to have to wait at least a few months....ahhh. You know,i could opt for a company car where i work, would cost me 3g's a year, no maintance, nothing, for a brand new Sebring....ahh, makes me wonder...
