I was looking through the parts listing and noticed a rear storage compartment door. If you have 12 speaker system is a subwoofer and grill...if you don't, its a storage compartment. One of those differences they don't ever tell you about.

Been that way on any vehicle I've owned. They have to put it somewhere... :dunno:

I prefer the subwoofer over the storage compartment anyway, so i replaced the copartment with a stock sub in my 97 and will never look back

Yeah, but it would be nice to have some place to put items.. like a first aid kit, jumper cables, scraper, etc. I have a few things stuffed under the driver's seat but it is not ideal

There is some room in the back even with the 3rd row folded. You could probably store jumper cables back there right up against the back of the well. My scraper spends all Winter laying on the floor of the 2nd row seats. That is where it has been for as long as I can remember in all my vehicles.
If you leave the 3rd row up, then you have all kinds of storage space.:)

There is a great spot for stuff in the 3rd row foot well. Since I never use the third row seat I keep all kinds of tools, tow straps, tow hitch, etc there. You can even access that area with the third row folded flat. Just flip the second row down and you can reach in there to take what ever you need out. Nothing comes flying forward when braking due to 2nd row seat bracketing under there. Enjoy

I have the subwoofer so I bought a nice Roadside Emergency Kit from Costco, fits nicely under the third seat when it's stowed away. Kit has everything you need, jumper cables, flares, 12 volt air compressor, blanket, flashlight, etc. and a first aid kit.
