Rear View mirror help!!!

My rear view mirror fell off because it got so hot the other day, I bought new adhesive but cant get the bracket out of it's holder where it glues to the window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There should be a tap or button on the mirror, push it and it should slide off the mount. Moving to general explorations.

here is a related tip.
Take a crayon and put a circle on the OUTSIDE of the glass where the old button was before you clean the old glue. That way you know it goes back in the same place.

You have to get a small screwdriver or nail down inside the hole on the bottom or top (i forget) to release the metal piece.
