Received rear window lift supports that match the existing supports for my '97 Ex. The top is an eye-bolt type of attachment, the bottom is the typical spring clip ball attachment you see on most lift supports. So, the top attachment looks like it's a rivet or pressed-on type of bolt. Outside and cold pouring rain so I can't play with it right now...but is that top bolt easily removable? Looks somewhat permanent, or at least require a special tool.

Our '97 isn't around, but I looked at my 2000 and the part attached to the window uses a clevis pin and an e-clip. I would need to pop the e-clip off (and hopefully not have it go flying and loose it) then slide the clevis pin out to disconnect the lift support from the glass. If I think of it I'll look at how the '97's lift support is attached later today.

That's correct

Thanks, guys. So...bottom line...it's removable, right?

Yes.
