I just tried to add fluid to the rear washer tank and it takes it so slow I'd be hours filling it. There don't seem to be any obstructions. Any ideas on what up there?

the rear window washer fluid has its seperate container. its right under the drivers side panel in the back. take it off and look around in there and see whats up.

i have to use a funnel to get mine to fill quickly

I have to use a funnel for mine too. Otherwise it took me about 15 minutes to get a cup in.

i just used a 2 liter bottle of soda, took about a minute (and 2 bottles.... thats a big ass resevoir)

Thanks, I must have a problem with that black flexhose that connects to the tank. Another project.

where is the tank on my 98 xlt v8??

my 92 was in the jack compartment but its not there on the 98... just a big ass space

You don't have one, a pump from the front runs it

It's easy to pull off the jack compartment cover and see what's up with that tank. Mine gulps the stuff down easy :)

Ford did away with the rear window reservoir midway though the '97 model year.

hose came off

my rear window hose came loose on the end coming from the opening so washer fluid just pours onto the ground. any ideas?

tighten the end so it dosent leak anymore?

no im just kidding, i would try just tightening it up with some ducttape, you can fix everything with ductape... "if you cant duct it, f**k it"

It's hard to picture where you are talking about, but inside the rear cargo area, up near the headliner the hose goes through a connection. Mine popped off there and started running washer fluid all over my back passenger window when I pushed the rear wash button. I pulled the panel off and plugged the hose back into the connector and duct taped it to prevent it from loosening up again.

my fault, i must not have been explicit enough. its the hose that connects to the fill opening right above the taillight. its really hard to get to and i dunno how to fix it.
