Just picked up an '05 Sport Trac, and I'm wondering if anyone has modified the rear sliding window switch? I would like to be able to have more control over the rear window, instead of just open, vent, and closed.
Thanks!

You would need to change the motor. The motor only has 3 positions.

Okay cool. I was hoping there may be some easy wiring modification to make it work how I wanted ;)
Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, it's a smart motor. It has that resistance detection built in to keep from crushing anything like an arm that might be in the way while it is going up.

You can reinitialize the motor and set the bottom (open) position to something other than the bottom.

With the drivers door open, turn the key to 'on', press the vent button 6 times, turn key to 'off', press the button 6 times, turn the knob clockwise until window is closed, turn the knob counter-clockwise to desired open position.
