rear wiper for inspection?

I went to try and get my x inspected yesterday and because the rear wiper motor doesn't work they told me they couldn't pass me for inspection. Does anyone know if I really need my rear wiper motor to work to pass inspection in ny?

oops... that's not very clear... rear wiper is not part of the NYS inspection.

If it doesn't work then it's a good excuse to just shave it off. Then go to a different inspection shop and if they ask about it, just tell them that it was an option that you did not get.

When I get my inspection done in Queens, I don't see them testing any of the wipers. So if you want to keep the rear wipers just go to a different shop.
