rear wiper retardation

on my '00 sport, the rear wiper always works, always hits the glass and wipes perfectly except for a little spot on the top. the problem: when it runs it makes a whining noise, and i can wiggle the arm up and down at the motor. it felt really loose when i moved it, i think that may have fixed the sound but i'm not sure.

i searched for rear wiper but didnt find anything along these lines. sorry if its a repost.

rear wiper is notoriously bad. lots of posts here about it. sounds like your's works better than most but your motor is probably going bad re: the noise

The rear wiper motor is mounted in some rubber bushings and the arm can be moved some if you try.

Whining noises aren't normal, however. Might be on its last legs.
