Recommendation for Shocks

Hi Everyone!
Need to replace the shocks on my 98 Explorer Sport and would appreciate some input on what everyone else has had good luck with. Looking for a shock that offers good ride and handling. The majority of the driving is highway driving with occassional off road.

Hi David,

I recently had Old Man Emu shockers (and springs) put on my '99. They are firmer than the stock shocks but reduce body roll alot. While your at it you might check the springs and torsion bar adjustments. New shockers might not fix your ride (if that is why your replacing them). New shockers with poor springs will make the shockers work overtime and wear them out in no time.

There are other threads in here about Old Man Emu springs and shockers which helped me make my decission.

Thanks..I appreciate the input about the springs and you were correct that I am replacing the shocks due to rough riding.
