Can anyone recommend a shop/dealer in Phoenix for the flashing O/D. I just spoke with several dealers and they all want to charge me to get the codes. All I got was a long story about how this is how the computer lets you know the transmission has a problem and need attention. One dealer said it would take 3 hours another wanted to keep it over night (don’t know why). All I know is that I’ve been reading about the codes the transmission gives. But getting the codes is impossible to the average Joe to get.

Any recommendations? I am so frustrated I took off of work today and thought I would be able to bring it some where to get the codes read and then post back her to get assistance and all I get id dealers wanting $85 an hour to look at it. I almost want to burn the dam thing.. Arghhhh

I don't know anything about pheonix, but I just had the same problem on my 97 where the O/D light was flashing. I tried to have it turned also but when i had it turned off it came right back on until the torque converter finally went on me.

Have you considered buying a code reader or scanner? They are a worthwhile investment. There are some for sale in the "for sale" section of this board, and articles about them in the computers subsection of the Under the Hood and Driveline forum.
