G'Day,

Thanks for letting me join this forum.

Let me just quickly say. I've just bought a 2000 Explorer US XLT.

Mate, I love this Yank Tank!

A couple of questions if I may (and yes, I've had a good look before posting, but couldn't find the answers, but possible I missed em);

1) I'm installing an after-market remote entry kit this weekend. Pretty sure I've got the wiring sussed out, but need to know where the lock/unlock door relays are located. I have my Haynes manual on order but is hasn't arrived yet.

2) I have had the 4x4 6 blink issue occur a couple of times. I suspect it may just be dirty hall sensor on the transfer case or bad connections somewhere in the switching circuit. Any thoughts/experiences?

3) Any suggestion as to known issues I should be looking for on these machines, just so I can take a glance and do any required preventative maintenance.

Thanks in advance guys! BTW, parts for these things in Australia are bloody expensive, had a look on eBay and at a few US suppliers and the difference is amazing! Looks like I'll be sending a few AUD over to the good 'ol US of A for any future parts requirements.

OK. So I missed the VERY FIRST thread, marked **STICKY**, and named EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUR KEYLESS ENTRY! :crazy:

So, the relays are located above the wheel arch in the rear cargo area. Problem solved. I will hook up the kit tomorrow and post some pic's for anyone interested.

Any thoughts on my other queries would still be greatlt appreciated!
