Do you guys think this is good price or is it about avg to what I'll find at the local shop? Is there anything about it that stands out as a no go?
Thanks

Sounds like a good deal to me. Are you planning on installing it yourself? That's the one install I didn't do myself on my truck. It took Best Buy 6 hours to put mine in, and mines a little less expensive than that one.

those are a really hard install. like the other guy implied- even people with lots of experience with audio and what not don't always tackle that one on their own. i had to partially rewire mine after some changes in the wiring of my truck and it was a ton of work and very nerve racking. if you do plan on doing it yourself though thats a good price and go for it!

if your not doing it yourslef your better off buying it at the shop that will be doing the install because they will install it better for cheaper.

Thanks guys that's what I was wanting to know.
Called one shop asking for an alarm, plus remote start and they were like $400, If i had my own $200 plus the module if I didnt have one...thats more than I want to spend...Going to call my buddy that works at a shop and see what he can do for me...If not I may just go with a regular alarm with out the remote start as I dont want to even try to tackle that install...

trying to get all my ducks in a row,,plan on putting in my system in the next few weeks, and ordering a LCD(visor kind) and mobile DVD player which I'll put in myself..thinking about also putting my iPaq PDA in as the GPS..RadioShack has a device you can hook up to them and with the pocketpc it can give voice instructions....cant afford one of those higher end GPS's :(

Very nice to have friends that work at shops. My brother works at Best Buy, and I had him get mine installed and alls I paid for was parts and it still cost $65 for install. Not too bad considering that I only paid $70 for the starter kit itself. It saved me a couple hundred bucks.

yep, my remote starter, alarm with all windows and doors activated, plus two clicker things with a huge range, etc. was all just under 200 installed. the 400 dollar kit was only 122 with my employee discount... and the install was about 65 because there are a few parts that need to be special/added on to the kit for our trucks.

expo5.0, you work at Best Buy?
