I am thinking about buying the Ford remote start system. Where is the BSM on the '05?? I don't think this could possibly be too hard. Anyone tried it?

I've got a Clifford System. Damn nice system. 1500' range

with the clifford system installed does your keypad entry still work?
any problems with the stock alarm system?
did you have to tape a piece of a key to your steering column?

also, where does one find the ford remote starter?

thanks

Nope, it's been about 3 months
Stock alarm no longer works.
There's a module or something they put in, and it's buried in the dash somewhere.

No clue, my guess the Ford Dealer

you can buy it online. ford sells it through their accessories website.

Is there a link for that? i'm intrested in a remote start for my X but I want to retain all of my current features

That bypas module is required for PATS and newer models. Look at DEI accessories, they have two which can work on Fords. BTW, don't cut the key which will be buried in that bypass module. Good luck,
