Remote stater option for 96 X w/ factory alarm

Hi,

I searched and found lots of threads talking about different systems for different year, but I could not find anything specific for my year, except that it is possible.

I have 96 X with factory alarm system. No PATS system in my car and I already have 1 remote for lock/unlock. I am looking for a cheap remote starter system (<$70). I do not need 2-way or any other fancy features, I'll be happy with 300 feet range. I need a system that I can wire myself and that will control remote starter only. I'd like to keep my other remove for lock/unlock.

If you have 95-97 Explorer with factory alarm and did remote starter install yourself, please let me know the model and manufacture if you still rememeber. Also, let me know if your lock/unlock remote still works after the install.

I am sure someone has done this before. I've checked with shops around here and they can do it for $200. They did not mention the parts they are going to use though.
