Removing abs fuse

The abs in my 2001 sport has been coming on, while on dry pavement at low speeds and I don't have the money to fix it now. I am going to pull the abs fuse. I was just wondering what can I use on the contacts so the don't rust while the fuse is out? Also, I know the check engine and abs light will come on but will they go off when I put the fuse back in?

I have been getting the same thing, try cleaning of the inner hubs on your wheel rotors, i think thats the problem with mine, also clean the abs sensors themselves

on the "newer" models, you are unlikely to be "successful" at pulling the fuse... because as I found out from another post / attempt, your speedo gets its feed from / thru the abs. So if its "dead" so is your speedometer.

an alternative to pulling the fuse, you could try to induce an error by disconnecting/bypassing one of the sensors, this might cause it to disable the abs and turn on the check engine/abs light(s)

I just had my front rotors replaced and I asked if he could clean the sensors but he said they break 9 times out of 10 when you remove them since its 4wd and they're in the hub. Is that true?

i really dont know about 4wd, mines 2wd, but if you have the same sensors then i dont see what could cause them to break
