I am trying to remove the clutch master cylinder from my 1994 Explorer Sport. I removed the wheel well to gain access to the bolts and first removed the nuts from the passenger compartment. But when I tried to loosen the bolts, they seemed incredibly stuck. I wrenched on one of them hard enough to break the square, threaded retainer from its weld on the floorboard inside the vehicle. Anyone else have such a hard time with these bolts?

Not yet, but rust sucks. They may have been cross threaded by the last guy that was in there, who knows.

You will just have to through bolt it or weld another nut in place.

Sucks man, I hate it when a fastener breaks like that. It adds so much complexity to the repair.
