Has anyone removed the stock fender flares who can provide guidance on how to do so?

I think I'd be safe in saying that would be a NO. I have never looked that closely to see how they are attached or what is actually under them. I think it may leave an unfinished look. I have been on here 9+ years and don't recall anyone doing that. It would be interesting to see it though.

There are a lot of videos out there that cover removing them from older model Explorers, Rangers, etc. I can see the obvious fasteners in the wheel wells that are straight forward to remove. But, I'm curious what kind of clip system Ford uses behind the 2020 mouldings. It may be the same as years past. I'm mainly looking for confirmation that they can just be pulled off once the fasteners are removed and if they should be pulled a certain way (i.e. up and out). I want to replace a couple of mine that are scratched up.

Not that this is of much help but if you order the replacements, you should be able to tell from the new ones how they go on so taking off is just the opposite.

I just saw a video on Ytube and it's very simple to remove the flares. Just got on YT and put 2020 ford explorer flare removal. You will see a video of a bumper removal of a white explorer that is it.

Wow, really appreciate it, y'all! blwnsmoke, that actually is helpful advice. Absent any guidance, that is how I was / am going to approach it, and it's nice to hear that recommended by someone else.. NEWPORTNJ, thank you, sir! I searched like crazy and was never able to come up with that video, and it's very helpful! He does stop with the fasteners on that front flare, which are pretty intuitive. It's the clips holding the rest of the flare on that are giving me pause. However, his video shows how easy it is to pull the wheel well liner back, and I think the clips are accessible from the backside on that front flare. The rear flares seem to be a different story. Although, I'm pretty sure they will all just pull off with a little persuasion.
