what is a good way of getting the screw next to the plug out on the MAS. it has a torque head with a thing in the head that prevents a normal head to take it out. i have seen a video on here or youtube that says to use a needle nose visegrip but that still wont work. to big. what have you guys used before? Thanks.

You need a security torx bit. You can get them at Harbor Freight.. I "think" I even saw them at my local autoparts store.

Here is one from Harbor Freight tools. http://www.harborfreight.com/33-piece-security-bit-set-68459.html

Here is a $6 set from Amazon too.

I've "heard" of people knocking the pin out on the factory screws but the bits are cheap so I bought a set.

BTW, It's spelled MAF, not MAS. It stand for Mass Air Flow.. just a heads up..

MAF sensor filaments are extremely delicate. Cleaning them with CRC MAF spray cleaner using
the tube and thoroughly drying is adequate. If you insist removing it's a T-20 Torx security bit.

I used electronic parts cleaner to clean the MAF sensor. Spread the cleaning fluid to a clean cotton tip and then use the cotton tip to clean the wire. Be very careful not to use too much force when cleaning. After cleaning my MPG went up more than 1.

you can pick up a cheap set of security torx wrenches at Autozone (or any other discount auto parts store i imagine) i would use MAF cleaner on your MAF (that's what it's made for) DO NO TOUCH THE ELEMENT just spray and let dry.
