Removing Scratches from chrome bumper?

Yesterday, someone hit me and took off! The black part on the rear bumber (tan on the EB) is sticking up on that side. I managed to pop it back into place, but there are a lot of scratches on my bumper. Anyway to get rid of those? Also, they also got me right underneath the tail light and there is a little dent with scratches that pisses me off. I do not want to go through the hastle of the insurance company, then the body shop. Will touch up paint remove the scratches? thanks

If the scratches are deep and gouged, there's not much that you can do. However, if they are just surface scrapes, you can try some P21S metal polish. Check it out at www.carcareonline.com
