some peopel say it drastically effects road manners.... i took both mine off, and did see mroe body roll, but it wasnt anything i couldnt handle... the ones on my explroer were off for several years... the explroer is gone now.....

the swaybar on my toyota, when i lifted it, i removed it, and didnt notice any difference at all....

With the stock suspension, you'll have a good amount of body roll on the street. Offroad, it will help the flex, but you'll probably want atleast the front sway bar on there. If you look in my Elite registry, or do a search, you'll find out how to make home made sway bar disconnects. Really cheap and simple (my front ones were about 5 bucks :)) I removed my rear one b/c I have an AAL and it really stiffens up the rear suspension, so the stock sway bar didn't help.

I say just take em off. I pulled mine off years ago. I bent my rear one. i took it off and it was twisted about 8 inches from its normal stance. So i went to the junk yard and got another rear and went wheeling and bent the crap out of the link that goes to the frame. I also fixed that then the bolt sheared and i bent another link and it went into my tire. Luckily i caught it before it popped it. I use to run quick discos on the front that were made for a CJ , but that ran me like 60 bucks also i bought them around 4 years ago. If you wanna keep the front i would just make some cheapo discos they all do the same.

Sway bars? what are those.. Those have been off our '92 for years..

It does change how it handles.. Its is not a car.. it sways and leans in turns.. I'm used to it, but I seem to scare people who are used to their sports car. I have done an emergency swerve with it.. the truck didn't roll, it slid (I got 4 wheel drift)

If you do mostly street driving.. You can get away with removing the rear and then if you want even more flex when off-road just take the fronts out then (or make quick disconnects for the front).

Removing the rear only doesn't affect street driving near as much as removing the front.
