2004 Mountaineer
Hello all newbie here, I Have a 2004 Mountaineer with the Sub Woofer, my question is how do I get the freakin bolt out that anchors the seatbelt to the rear panel? I bought a t-50 torx socket but the bolt would not move one bit, then the Torx socket shredded itself. I even tried it on the left side and the bolt will not budge.

They rust/corrode into their spots. Get some penetrating oil (not WD40), shoot it, wait, hit straight on with hammer. Repeat until it is loose enough to back out. Or, drill it out and replace it.

I used wd40 and sprayed the bolt on the inside and on the outside you should see the bolt throught the wheel well, spray it there also. Then get a 1/2" ratchet wrench or bigger the better. the you should be able to get it out. It might be a t-55 because if it's the rite size you shouldnt be able to thread the bit. Get a craftsman bit. they work we.

OK I will try it today, I started to think they were welded in Thanks
