repacking wheel bearings

i have been looking for the old threads on this but i cant seem to find them. i need to repack my bearings i beleive because there is a loud humming noise ever since i came back from playing in the mud the last time. i figure some dirt and water got into them. my question is how do i go about repacking them, what is needed, etc....? i'm probably gonna do this this weekend so i have the time i just need to know how to do it. any help would be great. thanks guys.

do u have auto or manual hubs

auto hubs. when i am driving, i just drove the 2 hours home from school yesterday, it is a loud hum. the hubs are the only thing that i can think about being meesed up cause they have never been repacked and i did do alot of wheelin lately
