I have replaced all 4 pads on my explorer. I never touched the lines at all and simply put new pads on the caliper. Now my brakes work but are very squishy and definitely not right. i have tried pumping the pedal but it doesnt help. Did air somehow get in the line? Thanks

I completely flush the system with every brake job.
Brake fluid is hydroscopic by nature (absorbes water). Keeping it clean and fresh is the key to longer life of your brake components. Replacing the pads without changing the fluid is like changing your oil filter or oil pump without changing the oil itself.

I would recommend bleeding them asap or better yet, replacing all the old fluid.

Good luck ....
