Replacing front shocks on 1998 AWD Air Ride Explorer. Any advice?

The front left shock on my Explorer is obviously shot, but other than that the system seems to be in working order. I'll be replacing both of the front shocks on my 1998 AWD Air Ride equipped Explorer. I do not have air tools. Is there anything I should be careful about before starting the job? It seems pretty straight forward.

I'm planning on getting two Monroe 40005's from rock auto.

How do you remove the air lines from the air shocks?

Push in on the little plastic ring the hose goes into while you pull the air hose out at the same time
