Hello everyone.....New to the board today. Doing some research on how to replace my rear break pads and found this forum which looked very helpful. Looking to see if anyone can point me in the right direction on this job. Any PDF's out there that show what has to be done??? Thanks in advance.

pretty simple.. Remove the wheels.. put the truck on jack stands.. Remove the caliper bolts that mount the caliiper to the wheel.. Remove the brake pads.. Use a c-clamp or piston tool to compress the piston.. Some people open up the bleeder screw when compressing the piston so it removes any dirty fluid out of the piston... Put in the new brake pads. Make sure you don't step on the brake pedal before you start the truck other wise you'll force air into the system.

Oh yeah if your gonna remove the rotor to get it re-surfaced or replaced, remove the little wire nuts that are on the wheel studs, and pull the rotor out.. If it has any cracks, replace it.. If its less than 13/32nd thick, I would replace it..
