I'm going to have the front and rear shocks on my 2000 XLT replaced soon as the ones it currently has are the stock ones. I'm pretty sure the rear left one isn't working any longer as the SUV tilts to the left. Anyway I wanted to know if these shocks were a good match. I'm thinking about ordering them this week and wanted some opinions, thanks.

Also I don't go off roading. Just Pavement down here in FL.

They'll do the job for a while, not as good as some of the more expensive shocks, but will probably still feel better than the worn out shocks you have now. No, the lean is not caused by the shocks, they have no effect on ride height. Most 2nd gen explorers lean a little to the left, with the gas tank and the driver being on that side there is usually more weight on that side, so it just wears out a little faster.

Weird, What else could it be then? All the other tires have 5" between them and the wheel well trim. The left rear tire only has 3". The tilt is pretty noticeable.

my suggestion

I put those shocks on my EX. Gets the job done but not that best shocks. If you want to get rid of the lean my suggestion is that you switch the driver side leaf springs to the opposite side.
