I changed the Thermostat in my 94' Ex. I took off the Pos and Neg battery connections so it would reset the computer. I left it off about about an hour. i don't know if it worked because my radio presets are still preset???

Also, i cleaned my engine bay with some GUNK and very low pressure water. now my fuel guage doesn't register anythin when i turn the truck on. When it is off it reads about a 1/4 tank. I think it is is grounding out when i turn the truck on but i covered the fuse box and a couple other things before cleaning. Any ideas where it could be grounding out at????

Thanks a bunch!

To reset the computer, simply remove the neg cable from the battery and leave it off about 15 min ( can go longer ),

if he removed both for an hour it should have reset the computer though, i would tihnk

Turning your headlights on after disconnecting the terminals will speed up the power drain.

I finally got my gas guage to read. It must have dried out!
