Restore Engine Treatment -- Is it any good? I have 115K on my 4.0 OHV. Good stories? Horror stories?

I tried it, no real difference. But I say go for it. You'd probably see a bigger difference with a real high mileage engine.

I love that stuff. I have 155k on my 4.0 and it runs like a champion ever since i used it. The only thing is that you have to use it with every oil change.

You definately can't use it if you have a bypass oil filter (all of its working particles would get caught). Its main function ability would have to be able to pass through your full flow filter and circulate around your engine. I wonder how small the particles are and if they can cause any kind of bearing abrasion, because they are in the particle range that normally does damage to your engine?

I have used it years and years ago on a old van I had, but didn't notice any difference. I think though although my engine had somewhat (85k) high mileage maybe it didn't need it, so I did not see a difference.

Used it on my 87 samurai when it hit 90k. Every time I changed the oil and added it, it felt like brand new. Sold the little beast with over 300k and its still running.

I have used it in the past didn't see(feel) any difference.

I used it on my old '73 ranchero with a very tired/smoky 250 6 cyl. It would burn alot less oil when I used restore (didn't smoke)..

I never used it in our explorer and thats been high mileage for years (355k miles now).. I've had low compression on the #4 cylinder (drivers front) for a bunch of years (130psi vrs 160psi)..

@ 355k miles I"m finally replacing the motor.
