I'm interested in High-Tec retreads, and was wondering if anybody has any experience with them? They are $52 for a 31" mud tread with a 2 year warranty. I have read on an XJ forum about them and they received good reviews.

heath, they have them i nthe adds at the end of the 4x4 mags

Try a search. I remember a thread about them from awhile ago.

Whenever I think of re-treads, I think of all those scraps I pass on the interstate everyday. I guess that wouldn't apply to a scricty offroad rig, but for anything that may see asphalt...................

I'm with Rob. I have seen to many pieces of tread on the hwy. This is basicly the same thing that was happening to the Firestones so they might not even sell to you if you tell them you have an Explorer.

You see a few along side the road, thats out of how many that are retreaded? I think it would be alrite if it was a quality job.
