reverse lights not working

if it was just one i would think that the bulb needs to be changed, but i just noticed that neither of my reverse lights come on when i'm in reverse. tomorrow i will check the bulbs but is there a chance that the problem isn't with the bulbs?

If the bulbs are ok, there is a switch on the tranny that turns them on when gear selector is in reverse. They do go bad....

If you wiggle the shift lever up and down, can you get them to illuminate?

well guys it was only the fuse. actually there was no fuse at all where one would go for these lights. took 3 seconds to fix. thanks anyway
