Hello!
I went to get an inspection and realized that my emergency brake does not work properly on the left side of my rear wheels. The right side seems to be working ok, but the left side does not. The working right side slows the car substantially, but the faulty left side allows movement when the "inspector" hits the gas.
I noticed that the brake seemed to be stuck. I removed the cable and could not move the lever at all. I took apart my left side (driver's side) parking brake. I cleaned everything up well. The lever now seems to move freely. I noticed that the short cable that runs from the cable junction (just in front of the driver's side rear wheel) to the faulty left emergency brake does not do very much when brake pedal is pushed and released. There is hardly any movement at all. I am assuming that because the right side is working ok, that the left rear cable is the only one that would have to be replaced.
As I need to get this parking brake working to get my sticker, any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!
