Right side speakers not producing sound

Howdy Folks,
I just installed some new speakers in my 99 Explorer. I soldered them in, now only the left side speakers work! the right side won't work at all. I have adjusted the balance, and still NOTHING.

It was a freak incident that took an hour of tinkering with to fix. Supposedly it had to do something with the right rear door speaker being set in the speaker housing. Maybe something was shorting it out, I don't know... But it now works!
