I'm in the process of a complete rebuild of 4.0 SOHC for an 07 Exploder. I've pre-torqued the connecting rod bolts to 180 lb/in and then an additional 90 degrees as per the manual. Using a digital torque meter set to read peak torque in conjunction with the torque angle meter i'm getting an average of about 37 lb/ft of torque per bolt. I've built dozens of V8s but this is my first V6 and that reading seems a bit low. Anybody know if 37 lb/ft sounds about right?
