OK, now this is not a good sign. I've had my 2003 XLT for less than 2 weeks, it has 500 miles on it. When I first start it it idles a little rough. When I turn the wheel to back out and give it a little gas it acts like it wants to stall and die, it hasn't died yet. It also seems to rev high at first, at least for the first few minutes. Everything is fine after it gets warmed up. Today I went to start and it didn't start on the first try, I had to crank it a second time. The dealer won't see it for a week. It's on it's first tank of gas still that the dealer provided, I don't know what to think. BAd gas maybe? Anything I can check? Thanks in advance.

sounds like the infamous 00M12 TSB. do a search for it here. it has to do with the cam tensioner and the upper and lower manifold gaskets. I thought ford fixed it on the newer models but i could be wrong. Hopefully someone else will chime in and correct me if i'm wrong.

Good luck oh and BTW Welcome to the site
